Kate McCallum is an award-winning LA-based XR media producer and writer. She brings 20 years of experience working in scripted narrative TV and feature film development and production at NBC Universal and Paramount Studios to her current work as a producer and VP Creative for WORLDS.
Kate has produced two of the most successful fulldome films in distribution with musician James Hood and director Michael Saul; MESMERICA and BEAUTIFICA which have sold over one million tickets, and she is now in production on a third fulldome show.
She is also involved in the production of MESMERICA 3D for the giant screen format and has produced content for VR and AR as well. Prior, Kate worked with Vortex Immersion Media, ran the innovation lab in the Vortex Dome with founder Ed Lantz, and produced several live dome shows and experiences from 2010-2020.
Kate served on the board of the PGA New Media Council and the National Board and is a member of the TV Academy as well. She was the recipient of the Marc Levy New Media Council Award, and co-founded the Social Impact Entertainment Task Force for the PGA.
Kate has been a keynote speaker and presented talks on Transmedia Storytelling and Emerging Media Trends internationally, and was given an Alumni Achievement Award from Western Michigan University.
